OQS Project Lifecycle Stage

  • OQS Technical Steering Committee held “lively and very productive conversation” on August 26th
  • Decision expected within the week with formal vote on OQS side
  • TAC will need to establish process for reviewing and validating project lifecycle assignments

PQCA Website Updates

  • Status: Website updates are in progress (Hart Montgomery)
  • TAC Roster: Updates to reflect current TAC membership are being implemented
  • Website Link Issues: Some technical challenges encountered with GitHub integration
  • Progress: Matthias confirmed his information is now visible on the website

Tooling WG Project Transition

  • Meeting Held: August 26th meeting with IBM team (5 attendees) and Hart Montgomery
  • Status: Ready to become a dedicated project
  • Blocker: Charter requires IBM Legal approval before proceeding
  • Timeline: Hart expressed optimism about approval given previous similar charter approvals
  • Next Steps: Formal TAC vote required once charter is approved
  • SAP Interest: Sandip D mentioned potential SAP involvement pending resolution of existing agreements

Outreach Committee Meeting Updates

  • Attendance: Hart Montgomery reported sparse attendance with no notable takeaways
  • Scheduling Challenge: Current time slot problematic for international attendees

  • Merged additional ARM assembly code into AWS LC
  • Completed integration of ARM assembly
  • Next phase: x86 code integration (expected to take considerable time)

mldsa-native:

  • Performance improvements in progress
  • Integrating additional assembly code for state-of-the-art performance

mlkem-rust-libcrux (renaming to rust-libcrux):

Additional Discussion

Future Planning: Brian Jarvis suggested inviting Max for another retrospective session after completion of lifecycle document reviews, similar to beneficial previous session for first half of year reflection.
