Discussion & Updates

Vice Chair Updates

Aditya provided updates on two key activities:

  1. OQS Metrics Request: Jonathan from the Linux Foundation has begun working on the OQS metrics improvements requested in a previous TAC meeting.

  2. PQCP Blog Publication: The latest PQCP blog on the mldsa-native alpha release was published on both the PQCA website and LinkedIn. Aditya encouraged all attendees to share the LinkedIn post and asked whether cross-posting to X would be appropriate. Christina shared the blog post on X after the call.


2026 Mentorship Program Update

  • Matthias’ mentee successfully completed their recent mentorship and Matthias will extend the program with a new mentee beginning January 5 – April 3.
    • Matthias will prepare a mentorship program blog post for review by next week.
  • Planning is underway for the Summer 2026 mentorship session, scheduled for June 1 – August 28.
    • Call for mentors and project proposals will be open February 2 - March 20.
    • Proposals will be reviewed by the TAC March 20 - April 3.

Project Updates

OQS:

No representatives present.

PQCP (Matthias):

The TAC reviewed progress across PQCP activities:

  • Hanno recently presented at the European PQC Conference, highlighting PQCP progress and community engagement.
  • Continued work is underway on ML native backend verification and supporting project contributions.
  • Matthias shared that the ML native OpenType integration blog post is in progress and will be submitted to the content review team for approval before Christmas.

CBOMkit (Andreas):

Andreas reported that CBOMkit’s Technical Steering Committee is nearly formed, with only final confirmations outstanding.

Next steps include:

  • Adding TSC members to the recurring CBOM Kit TSC meeting
  • Creating a CBOMkit Discord channel specifically for TSC discussions
  • Establishing a new TSC mailing list for easier communication

Andreas will share TSC member email addresses with Christina in order to finalize these last onboarding steps.
